Many bicultural and multiracial moms & dads were intrigued and found educational the Multiracial in America thread. Can we have a forum that addresses multicultural kind of topics? It seems in your NPR interview yesterday, this topic was also covered by the Asian American and African American dads who had websites. People on all sides of the fence can share thoughts and educate each other and their children (both white and mixed) on how to be sensitive to each other as well as get along. That starts with parents being better informed on the topic. |
I am happy to set up almost any forum. I'd just like a couple more people to weigh in to support the idea so that I know there is interest. Also, please suggest a forum name and description. Finally, you have to commit to defending me against the likely complaints that there are too many forums ![]() |
I'm in! I'm in a bi-racial marriage-and my son is bi-racial. |
Below is the link to the "Multiracial in America" thread and many people who are in mixed relationships with mixed kids have chimed in their interest on the topic. My suggestion for the forum name is "Multicultural Kaleidoscope" http://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/15535.page#91696 thanks |
Yep. Will defend you. The target market (DC metro) is very diverse; I'm sure others on this forum will defend you too. |
I just read the "Multiracial in America" thread. I see that the name "family-of-the-future forum" was suggested. So, there are now two suggested names (the other being Multicultural Kaleidoscope"). I don't have a preference, so you all will need to weigh in. Also, please suggest a description for the group.
