I took frozen ground meat out to make meatballs. I made the meatballs and partially baked them for 15 minutes. They will finish cooking in sauce. Can I then refreeze half the batch? If so, do they have to be fully cooked or is the half way point (after baking okay?)

| My mom's decidedly unscientific rule was to never refreeze meat. So she would say no. I admit it may be an overly conservative rule. |
| I think you can re-freeze after fully cooking them. |
