I was taken aback when Taylor used a marketing phrase for her relationship. She said they did not "hard launch" their relationship at the first football game she attended. The idea that one would ever "hard launch" a relationship seemed silly and off to me. But that's how she thinks so...

I do like her music and think she and her team are smart marketers and business people. I'm not hating on her here. It's just I wouldn't want to see a romantic relationship as something I "launch."

That's how celebs have to think, though, especially someone as famous as her.

Hard launch and soft launch is a thing, I’ve certainly seen it in not celeb usage, usually about bringing a partner to a holiday or posting them on instagram.

Off topic but I think it’s interesting and cool that we have different views of this phrase due to our probable age difference.

I find it interesting how language changes. Like when Taylor said “metal as he—.”

I’m not on Instagram so anything that people are used to seeing there (hard or soft launches) and that has entered the public conversation and thinking would not be on my radar.

DP. I think we have very different ideas of what "average" is. First of all, he's 6'5". Second, he's one of the fastest tight ends in the NFL. Third, he's got 2 Super Bowl rings. THAT is 'elite', not average. Interestingly, I couldn't find a good photo of him shirtless but looking at him in his uniform? Yeah, I'd hit that.

So if Deuxmoi was correct about TaTra (Tater) dating in July then we’re they correct that Taylor and Joe and a commitment ceremony even though her people deny it?

I think they had a party but it wasn't a ceremony or had anything to do with marriage. I think that's part of the reason why she's ticked off by the stories.

I think they did something. Similar to the vows in Lover. Maybe not legally binding ones. But something for sure.

Yep, and Blake and Ryan love to tell the story of getting together post divorce from Scarlett when it’s clear they he was cheating during the filming of green lantern. Lots of celebrities blatantly make up their origin story.

DP. I don’t think so. Deux Moi’s sources are all anonymous. Why bother to make a statement saying it was false if it were true? I could maybe see an anniversary party but no ceremony
