| Hi! I am a nanny working in the Tysons/Mclean area and am looking for fun suggestions in the NOVA area of free/inexpensive activities to do with a soon to be 3 year old preschooler and a a rising first grader (both girls). I would appreciate any unique ideas that you have! Thank you! |
| The hockey rink at the top of Ballston Mall is a great place for them to run around on a hot day. There are usually people skating, too, so it is fun to watch. |

Join the Reston Zoo - perfect for younger kids.
The McLean, Vienna, Falls Church City and Pimmitt libraries have kids activities. Jammin Java has bands every day - its $5-10 for two kids. Mr. Knick Knack plays at Tysons Corner Mall sometimes. Check out Borders and Barnes and Noble on-line for their schedule of kids activities. Clemenjontri Park and carosel. Great Falls Park. |
| The public library has lots of activities - Lunch bunnies, story times, reading programs, songs, etc. |
| museums, spraygrounds, high school pools are free at certain times or very low cost, bookstore story times, library, nature centers, sprinkler in the yard. |
| Wolf Trap also has a summer series for young kids that I believe is free or cheap. |
