Which school has the best GT center in FCPS. Looking for a school that provides good environment/enrichment for gifted kids. What are the differentiators in the GT centers?

Fairfax County has some of the best schools in the country. GT (AAP) or no GT (AAP) don't get hung up on the AAP program.

what, you get your choice? I thought you had to go to the one that your local school feeds into.
Having only been in that one, it would be kinda difficult to conclude a different one is better or worse.

OP here, I know that one cannot choose their AAP center. I'm just asking which center's program is strong? Saying all FCPS schools are great is a blanket statement and I don't believe all schools are the same. There are different factors which make a school better - like demographics, teachers, principal (administration) and curriculum. So, with all these factors in consideration, is there a center that has a better reputation consistently over the years? Or is there nothing like a better AAP center and all are alike?

Maybe OP is from out of state or out of the country and wants to move into the neighborhood that feed the best GT center. I have heard people do this to better position their kids for TJ. There is info on some of these threads indicating which midddle schools sent the most kids to TJ. That might help you.

you've done a comparative study? On what do you base this, specifically?

Statistics posted on the FCAG website.

And no, my children do not attend either of those schools.

looks like Carson and Rocky Run are as good if not better than Longfellow if you go by student achievement. Of course that's not a function of the Center per se but the kids who go there. Show me the place with the most Asians, I'll show you the place with the best scores.
