I received a BarBri settlement mailing for those who took BarBri between 2006-2011. Is there a website or something where the costs of BarBri are listed out? It would take some digging to see what I paid for my Bar Review course several years ago, though it was probably a lot.
Previous "settlements" I've been a part of paid me a whopping $11.52 and $8.56 checks or something. But it is free money, so fun. I'm sure those lawyers are getting more the money.

hmmm...I am taking Barbri now (well, starting next week actually)...and I haven't heard anything about it.

got same ltr, looked into it...you wont get money. you will get a credit towards a course that you can then sell if you want. to me, not worth it to bother with!! there is a website.

If you can't remember what you paid for BarBri, might be best to check that you actually paid for the course (and not your firm). If your firm paid for the course, I'm pretty sure you are not entitled to any money from the settlement (that is if you want to avoid any potential C+F issues).
I took barbri in 2001 and filed a claim years ago. In 2010, rec'd 2 checks totaling about $300. Might be worth submitting a claim.
Took barbri in 2005 and got a check for about $40 last year.

Agree with 16:01. My husband took BarBri in 2004, paid for by his firm and we asked and were told that we needed to provide any checks we received to the firm. We got 80-some dollars from it.
I took BarBri in 2000 and never received any sort of claim letter so maybe it was only 2001 and after? |
