Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
i'm tired! feel like commiserating.
No. But there have been weeks where most of the dinners were easy things like sandwiches, scrambled eggs, etc., supplemented by several nights of take-out (and take-out leftovers). When we're really not in the mood to cook, we do a "German"-style meal of baguette, cheese, salami-type meats, and a little fruit. We pretend we're being Euro-sophisticated instead of lazy.

Yup.
While I don't do this now - this is how I grew up. We went out to dinner every weeknight and out to lunch and dinner every day on the weekend. My mom didn't like doing dishes!

Yes when I was a lobbyist I had a great expense account. I'm not a lobbyist now...but I still work...no expense account. OP -- you got me thinking about those good old days! Let's hope the economy recovers one day soon.
When I was a week past my due date and the weather was beautiful!
Usually when we live in NYC during the summer: Seamlessweb.com and freshdirect are my friends. I don't cook when we are in NYC even after kids. |
