Cake Bakery near Rockville

I'm looking for someone who can do a birthday cake using a spice cake recipie and buttercream frosting. All the big grocery stores that I've checked with only do yellow, chocolate, or marble cake. This is for a big 50th birthday party for my husband .... I usually make his cake myself, but this year it needs to feed a lot of people. I'm not up to the task and I'm looking to out source for this special occassion. We are in the Potomac/Rockville area and I don't want to travel far.

I think Stella's would do this - they are off Nicholson between Old Georgetown and Rockville Pike. Expensive, but I've heard their cakes are wonderful.

This is probably farther than you want to travel, but Creative Cakes in Silver Spring is really wonderful and they would do what you're talking about.

I got married at a hotel and they used Custom Cakes as their vendor so we had to choose from them. After we did a tasting there, we chose their spice cake with buttercream frosting because it was divine. Totally random for a summer wedding, but everyone RAVED RAVED about our cake. Highly recommend. They're in Gaithersburg
