Hi,
Does anyone know how TJ did in terms of college admissions this year? Thanks. |
Probably still in flux since college wait lists are still flowing? |
Most are going to NOVA
who cares, geez why are people so concerned about this? Let the kids go where they want |
Statistically, being on a waiting list is like being first runner up in a beauty contest. Don't hold your breath. |
From what I have heard and read wait lists are pretty active this year. |
My point was that any final results are unlikely to be made public until the waitlist decisions are final. Until then, anything anyone hears is just anecdotal. |
TJ always does well. It won't be any different this year. |

Wow! |
how does this compare to langley, mclean, etc... - does anyone have college admission stats for the other high schools - it would be good to know as a comparison |
Get a life! |
You could compare the numbers to various local private schools using matriculationstats.org, but for comparisons to other public schools, you'd need to get list of where their seniors are going to schools. Here are the matriculationstats comparisons for some local private schools: Ivy league schools: 22.1% NCS 21.2% StA 15.7% Maret 14.8% GDS 11.8% TJ 10.2% Holton 10.1% Potomac HYPMS schools: 12.3% NCS 11.9% StA 9.7% TJ 9.6% Maret 8.3% GDS 6.8% Holton 4.2% Potomac |
A very solid showing by TJ, IMHO. |
That list IS impressive.
Go, Korean nationals who moved here as 13 year olds after 10 years of cram school!!!! |
What is HYPMS? |
