Infertility Support and Discussion
|
I have one child 3 1/2 years old but now have secondary infertility. Tried for 1 year before seeking help and in the last 5 months I've had one failed IVF and one failed IUI with a break in the middle. We are scooping up the money to try another round of IVF, sort of a last chance in hopes it will work. Should I try accupuncture too?
The issue is my insurance only covers 2 people within 40 miles of me. Not easy to get to in this traffic, y'know?? The one person is in Tysons Corner... Dr Zhu. Her website does not say that infertility is a speciality so I don't know what to do. I saw previous posters mention Laura at The Teal Center (Ballston). What are the prices per hour for this? Should I dive outside the insurance for this? Any advice positive or negative is appreciated, thanks. |

I have seen Laura at the Teal Center. Last year, her prices were about $115 for the first session and $80 for each session after that. I saw her once a week.
FYI - Accupuncture can be deducted from your flexible spending account. |

I am seeing Zoe Brenner in Bethesda. She is very good, and was recommended by Shady Grove Fertility. She definitely has experience in that area.
I had my iuis this weekend, so I can report back if it actually worked. It definitely made me feel more relaxed and more energized. |
| Has anyone used Kerri Weshauser? she has offices in dc, falls church and md. |

Hi all. I have been TTC for 2 years, have 4 failed IUI's and am ramping up for IVF to start next cycle. I was doing accupuncture with Deb Earley in DC. She was great....but I was inconsistent and didn't really feel like she could help/fix anything. I get the whole...."you're so heathy" " you're so young" stuff. It is very relaxing and so nice to talk to someone that is not so scientific, like the fertility doc is. I say go for it!

| I used Deb Early as well. Plus Sadie Mincoff for herbs. Best investment ever. Deb solved my back issues as well as helped me get pregnant twice. |
