| Alabama is trying to create the impression that illegal immigrants would find Alabama desirable. Get a clue, if they wanted that kind of existence they could have stayed home. No offense to Mexico, el Salvador, etc. I'm just sayin'. |

This will not keep illegal immigrants from coming to the state.
It is punishing the children for something they cannot control. What do they propose, that 16 year old kids buy plane tickets (with the jobs they can't legally get) and send themselves back to their home countries? Or turn themselves into immigration so they can be sent back to a country they haven't seen possibly since they were a year old or younger, a country whose language they may not speak, a country where they may no longer have relatives? Because of a crime their parents committed? |

This would not happen to my child because I would not break the law by sneaking into another country and then expecting to be treated as a citizen of that Country. |

It shows the shameful depths to which some people are prepared to go.
I am no fan of illegal immigration, but this is pretty low. People seeking to prove how "tough on immigration" they are by victimizing and ostracizing children. Jesus said "by how you treat the least among you, so shall you be judged". All those who support these attacks on the most vulnerable and youngest had better look to their consciences, for there is something very wrong there |
