Apparently not as there are a lot of illegal immigrants throughout the south. |
I am not here illegally and it won't happen to my children and it won't happen to anyone else who is here legally. If you think this is so cruel why don't you allocate a substantial portion of your HHI to take care of them in their own country until they can come here legally? |
Yes. |
You didn't answer my question either. |
Thank you for this. |
I am a descendant of slaves...the other immigrants in my family did it legally. Why don't you go and sneak into Mexico and try to get your kid in a soccer club. Years ago, in I think Honduras, there was a flood with tons of foreign aid pouring into the country. A mayor of a smallish city announced publicly that the blacks would get no aid money since they were better off than the natives. The blacks were full citizens, and often more literate and their ancestors came there two generations before. Until we sink to those lows, I don't care to compare. |
They are visiting the sins of the parents unto the children.
Which is heinous. Devise other harsh impediments by all means, but do not lose all humanity as to target innocent children, no matter what their parents have done. |
I think the same person has posted atleast 7 times on this thread.
Just an idiotic troll. Illegal is illegal. There is nothing to discuss. Enough with the dramatic moral outrage. File your paperwork, obey the laws or move on. |
+1
Totally agree. |

Really? If you lived in a place where you and your children's personal security was always threatened or you and your children lived in poverty, wouldn't you do whatever it took to bring your children to a more safe and secure environment? It's easy to think not from the position you are in now, but I'm pretty sure constant fear and hunger might change your perspective. |

But their children didn't make these choices. |
If we wanted to get to the root of this problem, one of the first thing we'd do is repeal the farm bill. This horrible piece of corporate welfare for giant farming conglomerates subsidizes the production of cheap, cheap grain which is exported under NAFTA to Latin America. The unfair competition from the US. subsidized grain drives Central American farmers out of business, and guess where they end up to try to find work, since there isn't enough in their cities?
Do you really think that humiliating the kids achieves anything? |
Yes it makes me happy to see someone trying to enforce the law of the land. The Feds, once again, aren't getting the job done. Seems to me the parents (and their supporters) are using children to garner sympathy for breaking the law. Bank robbers sometimes have children. They rob banks to feed them. How can you begrudge the children food? Ooohh the children. The first refuge of wayward liberal politics. What about the children who attend schools so overburdened with illegals that they can get a decent education? What about the children who are victimized by illegals? What about the tax revenues diverted from children's programs to handle the problems that illegals bring to the country? Oooohhhh the children. What about all the children who don't come here illegally but are living in Mexico, etc.? Should we bring them up here to have a better life? Why can't Mexico, etc. take care of their own children? If Demcrats want to win elections they should try doing with legal citizens. |
