Entertainment and Pop Culture
Oh, you got me! Clearly, you are four steps ahead of all of us, masterminding the demise of a popstar and her boyfriend. I love how the people who clearly aren’t fans of Taylor Swift yet are posting on threads about her act like how you are somehow above it all. |
Is anyone innocent enough here to think celebs go on their first date a broadcast it to the world? Or when they announce their divorce it was decided that day? Both instances happen months before we know it. And I think Deuxmoi had it right. The relationship started in July. Another example when Jen Aniston went public with Justin Theroux. They had been seeing each other for months while he still had his live in girlfriend back in NYC. |
No. I’m more surprised they would feel the need to time stamp it at all. |
| What are we talking about? He said he tried to get her number then he finally did. WOW huge story. He likes her and works to make her happy. |
Setting up for the engagement. So it doesn’t seem like they’ve only been together a few months. May 13 in Paris mark my words. |
Yes you are dense. How do you not understand what “I hope this crashes and burns” means? It simply means I hope they break up. I am tired of hearing about their relationship. |
NP. Seriously? Yes, here you are, participating in a thread about -- wait for it -- their relationship. Just go away then. No one is making you listen to or participate in anything about their relationship. |
I hope they crash and burn. That’s it. That’s the extent of my participation. Someone said “what does this mean?” I’ve never heard of anyone not understanding what that means. That implies stupidity. |
I was taken aback when Taylor used a marketing phrase for her relationship. She said they did not "hard launch" their relationship at the first football game she attended. The idea that one would ever "hard launch" a relationship seemed silly and off to me. But that's how she thinks so... I do like her music and think she and her team are smart marketers and business people. I'm not hating on her here. It's just I wouldn't want to see a romantic relationship as something I "launch." |
Yeah, I see what you're saying. I think it just goes to show what a fishbowl she lives in, and it's not something we would ever get. But celebrities make very informed decisions on when, where, how, etc. they're going to announce a relationship. It's like making it "instagram official" or other things we don't think about either. |
Hope not. She can and has done way better. And she was just saying she was the happiest she’s ever been a few months ago with Matty Healy. |
Please. You cannot seriously think he got as much attention for hosting SNL than he is for this relationship. |
|
Taylor also has made herself rich by writing songs about her famous exes so of course she’s going to be strategic about when, where, and how she goes public with anyone she dates. People eat it up, so good for her for capitalizing on it. Don’t think she hasn’t already started strategizing how she’s going to play the eventual breakup (I like her and I like Travis but I don’t think this relationship will go the distance).

I have some hard news for you. If they break up I swear that will be even bigger news. Then when she dates someone else, that will be too. Nothing Taylor is likely to do in the next few years will be less newsworthy, so it’s up to you to manage how much this content impacts your life. A huge first step would be to not actively participate in threads with her name in the title. |
I can’t wait for her pregnancy the haters heads will explode 🤯!?! 😂 |
