| Heard Duenkel and Draley are transferring to Gonzaga. It’s true. I stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. |
| Wow. Just get over yourselves. If you were my many husbands I would divorce you. 😂🥴 |
| Check his bio on insta he’s gone. Sucks to suck Gonzaga. He wanted a real team at sjc. |
Not happening |
| Congrats to SJC. Still King of the Block. |
He wouldn’t start at attack at St. John’s. Would be moved to midfield. Not needed. |
No dog in the fight here but given that Prep has destroyed Bullis twice in the past week, I think Prep beats SJC this year. SJC squeaked by Bullis and it was dog fight. SJCs best win this year is against BL, the 4th seeded team in the MIAA playoffs. And the loss to the Academy of New Church (likely the cadets looked past these guys) doesn’t look that good anymore given their W-L record. It’s too bad both administrations won’t check their egos aside and play one final game next week. Play at a neutral site, charge $10 at the door and raise some money for a local charity… |
| Possibly a new thread altogether but has anyone started looking at what is being lost offensively in the WCAC and IAC, and then what or who is next up? The obvious are in the IAC with Burns and Kabiri for Prep, and then Wade for Bullis. Over in the WCAC at SJC, they seem to be returning the majority of their offense with Duenkel, Ball and Offutt. |
| Should SJC join the IAC and MIAA? |
Play a tougher schedule Wes... beating up on Ireton, Ryken, and O'Connell doesn't help your cause. |
As always, posters on this board forget that the people actually playing these games are students and they are coming up on exams. Scheduling a game next week is against their interests which rank above your wanting to see another match up. Stand down. The season is over. The upside is that both SJC and Prep boosters have grounds to argue about this for months until next season. |

You can’t forecast hypothetical game results based on like opponents. If you’re going to do that then you have to compare the Gonzaga games. Both teams had similar results against Gonzaga. Back in 2021 Prep had the older more experienced team and St. John’s beat them. They aren’t going to play each other this year due to Prep refusing to schedule a regular season game like they have the previous 5 years. If I was a betting man I would say they won’t play next year either. Prep is now on the refusal to play list with Landon. |
| I thought Paul Vi has some young bucks on their team |
IAC 2024: Prep should remain very strong in 2024, with Horning and McLeary leading the offense. I'm sure another boarding FOGO will show up in the summer months and a new goalie from Canada. Kabari and Burns might be one of the best 1 - 2 punch attack unit this region has seen in a long time, it will be hard to replace that combo. Preps' first midfield, all seniors committed to Colgate, Tampa and Georgetown will be moving on. Lil Hoyas should fair well defensively with Ryan Welgos and Luke Crowe returning. The Bears on paper return a ton of weapons in 2024 (all 6 of their offensive starters return) not to mention, Kevin Miller who missed this season to an ACL injury, will be back. Both of their sophomore FOGOs return, a sophomore defenseman who starts and a sophomore attackman who leads the team in goals. The defense will have some holes to fill due to the departure of Cohen and Schmer? Bullis will take a step back. Relative to Bullis teams in the past, the 2023 team had very little depth and it showed. Bullis's offense has looked pretty ordinary this Spring which is surprising given their entire team returned from last year. Jackson Maher will have to lead the team next year. Jewel Walker is a defensive middie and more of a transition-type player. I'd put a pole in that kid's hand as he would be an All-American defenseman! EHS is a boarding school so who knows who stays vs who leaves? Caully Derringer is he best attackman EHS has had in a while so offensively they will have a setback. The Maroon do return Jack benello who I believe is their 2nd leading point producer. Saint Stephens basically returns their entire team which was comprised of sophomores and juniors this year. Luke Pascal, the Yale commit, will have to carry this team. STA graduates a ton but Heeter has a decent Next Level feeder system established so they should remain competitive. |
