A market drop will happen regardless of your wealth $$. So why not model it and at least try to be prepared for it. The Coronavirus dip was 34% (I believe) and could have gotten worse and sat there had not the government stepped in. Thankfully we had a President and House that wanted to give money and a Senate that was too chicken to fight the President. Biden had to bend the rules for the next round and he can't keep doing that forever.. |

$1.8M in retirement $500K in taxable brokerage accounts $60K in tax free accounts 529’s are in place for 2 children instate VA. Senior and freshman in college now. $160K in whole life cash value. (Wife’s, not sure what do with this. Not paying premiums), Grows about 4% per year. $600K in home equity Approx 1.7M in a pension today, benefit grows about 12% per year that I stay with employer. Maxing 401K’s, and deferring 15% of my salary to a non qualified plan. |
DH private firm fund are very good and saved max from the beginning. Fed tsp still good not quite as good tho |
Thank you for responding. Is the 3MM for just DH's 401K, or does that include the Fed tsp? I am trying to get an idea of the max amount a private firm fund realistically achieves. Thank you. |
Only 600k in home equity with those extraordinary funds elsewhere? Where do you live?! |
What a tightwad idiot. It doesn’t have to be a Christian or religious charity. You don’t have to use that term. It doesn’t have to be 10%. You can do 15-20%. But you wrecked looking to get hung up on words as a way out of charity. Bad Karma for you! |
tithe /tīT͟H/ noun one tenth of annual produce or earnings, formerly taken as a tax for the support of the Church and clergy. verb pay or give as a tithe. "he tithes 10 percent of his income to the church" |

Unclench. Replace the word tithe with donate. Will you or anyone do it now? $100 a year ? $1000? Even if you are HHI is over $200K? |
