Anti-Trump bias in Montgomery County

Agreed. As an immigrant and POC, I just can’t associate with people who voted for an openly racist and anti-immigrant demagogue. Trump’s policies directly affect the lives of immigrants (kids in cages is just one example). No way I’m remaining friends with someone who supports such heinous things.

+1. I didn’t associate with racists 5 years ago and I don’t now. Trump is a racist president and supports racism. Are you telling me you don’t support racism but do support Trump? Sorry no dice. Don’t evidence you.

Also would definitely not bubble with a pro Trump person as I believe in masks and science and Trump supporters seem to view both with suspicion.

For the record I am also not friends with anti vaxers in the sense that my kids don’t play at their kids houses in the winter and I don’t want them at my school because I want herd immunity for all.

When you want to tell me you are nicer, you are not. I am! I want to remind you that you are not to my veteran relatives and Latino children. Trump supports horrible epithets for them both. I am not insulting you, just not associating with you.

I'm not an idiot but I'll refrain from calling you a name. Educate yourself on police violence and quit rushing to judgement on what actually happens in these situations. Go back and watch the entire videos from the recent arrests that resulted in deaths and if you have the same opinion than maybe I'm the idiot after all. If your spouse was a cop you would have a much different opinion on what they deal with everyday. Amazing there are no threads about Chicago on here isnt it? Why do you think that is? Do black lives matter or not? And for the record, I am not a white person (hint, hint).

If any of these inner city acts came to our neighborhoods white women would be the first one asking for the cops to come help out and would no longer call the protests "peaceful". But we all have NIMBYISM and putting a sign in the front yard of our 2 million dollar house means we care. Being open minded means you go along with the crowd and yell down anyone else's opinion. I only hope the silent majority pulls through yet again this November and squashes this for 4 more years.

That’s the problem with you idiots. You want to keep believing nonsense that none of us believe because it suits your hateful narrative. No sane person wants to do away with police or hates police. We do however want accountability for corrupt police officers and systematic racism. But keep thinking that our morals are just virtue signaling. You don’t don’t any better because you don’t have morals.

He puts America and Americans (including LEGAL immigrants) first.
He grew the greatest economy the world has ever seen before the pandemic.
He is against cancel culture and is for free speech.
He is for capitalism and deregulation which leads to job growth. The lowest African American unemployment rate in history.
He is against the entrenched DC swamp and elitism, he cares about Middle America and workers. He speaks to people. He believes in the American Dream.
He tells it like it is with no filter. He supports LEGAL immigration, and Strong Borders.
He sent the stock market soaring.
He is against the corrupt Welfare state and promotes jobs and tax cuts.
Shall I go on?

Meanwhile none of you have answered why Montgomery County elects socialist leftists to its local government.

Why is Trump not ok but Marc Elrich is ok?

PLENTY of cops support accountability and defunding police. They know they are not equipped or trained to deal with certain situations. I have educated myself on the issue which is how I formed my opinion. I don’t just talk to someone’s cop husband and use anecdotal evidence to form my opinions.

Not a cop's husband but nice try. I have several police friends who have very different opinions than yours. So we can agree to disagree. My only parting question was if an immediate family member of yours was in danger of an out of control drugged up maniac with a criminal record for whom you had a restraining order, would you want a psychiatrist or a police officer to come and help you? Serious question.

I don’t know if you are teeing this up for a Trump support today lost his accomplishments. But if you google Trump accomplishment list it takes you to a White House website with a long list. Whether you quibble with it or not is up to you. But it’s right there.

Do you can’t think of anything? Not a single thing off the to of your head?

Well, even Trump cannot think of one thing he has done right. Ha ha!
He is a bully who has solved nothing and lined his pockets. He has brought America to its lowest point. No one respects him and his family. He is a corrupt traitor. But, he is White and racist and has the vocabulary that is simple enough for the disenfranchised racists to understand.

I would call for an ambulance so that the person could be taken to the hospital rather than jail. A person with mental health issues does not belong in jail. Why do you think so many people are shot?

Was George Floyd a drug is out of control maniac when he died? Why did manny Ellis get a death sentence from the police while he was asking them for help? Is use of force justified in many situations? Of course!!! That’s why they have guns. Do many of them get on a power trip and kill people for no reason. Absolutely!!!

Montgomery County, is this your king?

The fact is, Mr. Elrich until now has been an outlier who proudly positioned himself on the ideological extreme left, even in the context of a decidedly liberal county.

By courting Venezuela’s help in funding local social programs, he embarrassed the county and proved himself a willing propaganda tool of one of the hemisphere’s most antidemocratic regimes.

Meanwhile liberals here like to say that Trump is a dictator and loves dictators.

This is a red herring. In the instance you describe, police would be sent. Not a psychiatrist. If you can't be honest with your strawman, you've lost.

The Economy under Trump someone hasn’t done their research Trump has done nothing but destroy the economy.

Besides riding on Obama‘a coattails he alone has made so many families have no income. Given his Covid response alone ie not reading the instructions left for him and doing it his way we now have an even bigger economic mess. 2021 will not be pretty. And his payroll tax idea is dump. It will mostly hurt Trumper’s his base because they are too stupid to understand the consequences.

Trump has done nothing in office but make a huge mess.
