Wives, do you fold and put away your husband's laundry?

Anonymous
Yes. He washes and puts away all of my dirty dishes.

Also, everyone knows you get to watch TV while you fold the laundry. More laundry = more TV. Don't be dumb, ladies.

My husband does laundry almost all of the time. However, the cost for that is that I get towel lint over everything (he doesn’t separate) and everything that I own which is light, is now the same shade of dull gray. However, I don’t say a word, because if I wanted it different, I would do it myself. He folds but doesn’t put away.

I fold it but don’t put it away. Laundry is “my” chore but I actually enjoy it so I don’t mind at all.

You’re a housewife.

DH and I used to combine our laundry but that stopped because he buys performance socks and wants them air dried. He got upset that I put them in the dryer and I said I was not going to pick out each and every sock to air dry. So now we each do our own. Teaching my 8 year old now to do his own as well!

Then I don't want to be good. He is a big boy and he can put his clothes away! Btw,he doesn't put mine away and I'm ok with that.

Husband's clothes aren't part of the deal. They aren't part of the house! In fact, house would function just fine!

Not reading 12 pages but in case OP is still reading. We both do laundry and we both fold. We put away our own clothes, though.

We both do laundry, and we both put all the laundry away when we do it.

Sometimes, I end up doing more laundry because he's doing other tasks. Sometimes, he does a bit more laundry because I'm doing other tasks.

Or--and I know this is going to blow your mind--sometimes one of us takes on more laundry duty to give the other a break.

OP posted this in 2015, so I'm pretty sure she's moved on from this.

Ha ha ha. PP here. I just read the title and posted while drinking morning coffee. Why on earth do people revive ancient threads?,

Yes. I do. But he does a lot for me too. Like bills and most of the cooking.!

My ex-wife never did my laundry in 20 years of marriage. But she still complained non-stop about the laundry. It's one of 100 reasons I left her. I also did all of the dishes.

I do. I actually enjoy doing laundry, is that weird? I also do 99% of the cooking. But he washes and puts away dishes and mops floors, the two things I hate. I'm fine with our arrangement.
