I guess she seems funnier to some. To me she just sounds entitled brat who did not get a Barbie Malibu beach house. The six year olds version of an Ivy acceptance.

Indeed! My favorite quote:

"Being yourself is not a talent. If you worked two full-time jobs all the way through high school and one of them was "being yourself" and the other was "trying your best," you actually worked zero full-time jobs."

Bwahahahahaha! Exactly. Some of us actually worked hard at our academics, got killer test scores AND worked, you know, actual jobs. At your age. You little snot.

Where did it get you?

A professional, well-paying job at which I make more money at 35 than either of my parents ever made per year in their lifetimes? Like, way more. A functional adult life that my parents didn't really prepare me for but which I scratched out for myself through hard work and determination? A happy marriage? My own home?

That enough for you?

Girls like this "satirist" don't impress me. They've been entitled their whole lives and have had every advantage. So what does she do with it? Use it to write a poison pen article denigrating the experiences of others who weren't so lucky. Little bitch.

Well you know, she's the "Tina Fey of Pittsburgh" and all!

Eh, she's enrolling at Michigan, published in the WSJ and appeared on morning TV. I'm sure my 17 yr old daughter would love any one of those. And I'd be proud of her in any event. Simmer down. This isn't about you.

Reading the details of her application one is reminded of the line from Risky Business when the guy from Princeton says to Joel, "Well, Joel, you've done a lot of solid work here, but it's just not Ivy League, now is it?"

Haven't read 12 pages, but I find it ironic that this can appear in the WSJ, because as soon as it does she's had an op-ed published in the WSJ. How awesome of her.

Don't forget her stint on the Today Show.

That is great. Her father says she is not entitled. To prove how not entitled she is, we have enclosed a picture of him standing in front of a vineyard.

Your sentence doesn't make any sense.

Her sister worked at the WSJ. That explains everything.

It made sense to me. It's irony.
