You haven't been to a public school in the last 20 years and looked at enrollmrnt names?! At least, his can be pronounced.

.

Sure, everyone knows about black kids with made-up names. It's just funny to see a bo-hick MAGA with one. Markwayne. His name is Markwayne!

So joke about Black names and see how long the post remains here.

Here's the point: I'm sure Markwayne and his, um, kinfolk see themselves as above, or, more to the point, quite different to Deronte and LaQuisha, but all of them have made-up names.

And... Markwayne it's just funny.

According to Wikipedia, "his first name is a tribute to two of his paternal uncles, Mark and Wayne; his mother put both names on his birth certificate, intending to later shorten his name to one of the two, but ultimately never did." Given how kids like to tease, I'm surprised he never changed it.

I doubt it.

Noem has been sacrificed in order to start putting pressure on the Democrats to fund DHS. Stephen Miller is still in charge of immigration policy, make no mistake. Mullin will be a puppet, just like Noem (if he's confirmed).

I can't speculate on whether he'll be confirmed. The fact that he's a Senator unfortunately works in his favor, but I don't think Republicans really want to see more Americans shot dead in the street. So it's kind of a toss up there.

Interesting… she’s going to be surrounded by the heads of state of the people who she has treated like animals and deported for the past year.

“Noem’s new role is part of a new security initiative that Trump said would focus on the Western Hemisphere.

Trump is gathering with the leaders of 11 Latin American countries for a “Shield” summit on Saturday at his golf club in Doral, Florida.

The name of the gathering is supposed to reflect Trump’s vision for U.S. national security strategy to put a greater emphasis on the Western Hemisphere, as he looks to leverage U.S. military and intelligence assets unseen in the region since the end of the Cold War. The leaders of Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, and Trinidad and Tobago have confirmed they’ll attend, according to the White House.”

Who cares about a college degree when the top schools are already represented by Trump, Vance, Miller etc.? A college degree hasn’t prevented any of those nutters from wrecking our country so what’s the difference?

If I were a representative of any of these countries tasked with attending this gathering, I would interpret Noem's selection as special envoy as a slap in the face of cordial relations. Trump appointed his attack dog to a summit of foreign relations. It says: "we're summoning you foreigners and warning you that we're going to continue treating you like crap".

What do we know about the replacement?

Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin

Noem new position: Special Envoy for The Shield of the Americas. Trump described the role as “our new Security Initiative in the Western Hemisphere.”

A fake job for a fake person.

Supposedly they didn't even give Markwayne a heads up (or ask him) before they announced him.

Well MarkWaYne is a moron so he probably won’t realize that he just lost his senator for life position to join Trump on a two year journey that could end with him in jail.

Sadly I don't think even Bondi or Noem are going to jail. Miller, the most cruel person in this administration, is not going anywhere because he very intelligently chose a role of mere advisor, so he's not legally responsible for anything department-related - but everyone listens to him, and Noem took orders directly from him.

Mullin, if he plays his cards right, will be just a harsh but not entirely despicable leader of DHS. But the type of leadership at DHS is not actually important here.

What's important is this -

Democrats must not to cave, under any circumstance, about ICE enforcement conditions. All ICE agents need to be easily identifiable, have body cams that are active during interactions, and be limited in their entries and searches. I don't think this is in the Dem playbook, but it should: ICE detention centers should allow visits by state and federal representatives at all times, and staff up on every aspect of their mission that's not linked to arrests. There aren't enough legal services, administrative employees, catering services, medical services, janitorial, building, operations staff, etc, for detainees to be treated humanely right now. All Trump did was massively scale up the employees that arrest and detain people, but all the support side is missing and this is actively hurting detainees. What you see outside during arrests is how ICE behaves when they know people are recording. There have been homicides in detention facilities, perpetrated by prison guards. WE NEED TRANSPARENCY IN THESE DETENTION CENTERS. By the way, they have plenty of money to take care of all that. They just don't want to - so they should be forced to.

This right here

+1. The masks, identification and body cams 100 million percent have to be non-negotiable. It's a huge step down the road to authoritarianism. It has to be nipped in the bud.

Good. Now we no longer have to listen to her or see her. She's 54 years old, wearing as much makeup as a 20 year old, with lip filler that makes her look stupid and the hair! Does she think she's still in college? Her character and decisions are awful, but I also hate how she's trying to look like she's 22.

A “Lewandowski” becoming to females what a “Lewinsky” became to men as a innuendo could’ve been the ultimate shenanigan.
