Nuzzi has filed a domestic protective order against her ex-fiancée Ryan Lizza, claiming he tried to blackmail her and leaked her relationship to RFK Jr to the media by hacking her devices:

In her petition, filed in D.C. Superior Court, Nuzzi accused Lizza of threatening “to make public personal information about me to destroy my life, career, and reputation — a threat he has since carried out.” She also alleged that Lizza stole a “personal device” from her, threatened to share materials from the device with the media through “anonymous channels,” and impersonated an “anonymous campaign operative” while contacting a political campaign with information that would further negatively impact her career.

“In the last few months it is my understanding that he began hacking my devices for the purpose of stalking and surveilling me and to collect materials” that could be used “as blackmail to intimidate me back into a relationship” with Lizza, Nuzzi wrote in her petition, which did not mention Kennedy.

Lizza, co-author of Politico’s Playbook newsletter, denied Nuzzi’s allegations in a statement to The Washington Post: “I am saddened that my ex-fiancée would resort to making a series of false accusations against me as a way to divert attention from her own personal and professional failings. She wants to drag him down in the mud for leaking her affair to the media. He’s a scorned partner. Neither of them seem like moral people.

I suspect “hacked” is probably more like a shared household iPad she had synced to her phone. Lots of spouses discover cheating by inadvertently coming across text messages.

She is clearly unwell and her behavior got her into this. Whether he leaked it or not, can’t blame him. Either way, good luck proving he leaked it if he used encrypted burner emails.

Blackmailing her back into a relationship doesn’t even make sense. Just sounds like a desperate smear attempt by a shameless 31 yo gal who needs professional help.

Right - I don't see why what he did was illegal even if he did share info about her with the press. Many cheated-on spouses would love to proclaim it to the world (and can and do tell other people) it's just that the media wouldn't care about random people's personal lives.
