+1 My money is on this.

+2 no way is he going to an Ivy. First of all, he doesn’t have the academic chops, second, he’d be eaten alive by his fellow students for being the spawn of Satan.

Why would he be eaten alive? Ivies produced MAGA leaders like Donald Trump, Ivanka Trump, Josh Hawley, and more.

Plus Elise Stefanik, Ben Sasse…

“The Federalist Society was founded in 1982 at Yale Law School, Harvard Law School, and the University of Chicago Law School, and helped launch the modern conservative legal movement.”

Don't be stupid. There is a huge difference between being some random kid who happens to be a conservative and the easily recognizable son of the most reviled figure in American politics, who travels around with a Secret Service detail.

Didn’t he graduate from St. Andrew’s Episcipal school? That’s not a sped school and plenty of their students do well after graduation. I’m not a fan of the school but lets be real….

SAeS does do well with some kids on spectrum or adhd, and it’s speculated they chose that instead of at Allan’s or sidwell due to some SN. But neither of those constitutions would indicate that his academic/cognitive skills are lacking.

They left DC after Trumps term - so did not graduate from SAES. While you are correct going to SAES doesn't imply having special needs, there were needs at the time of application. There were other DMV schools that denied admission because their school was not set up to meet his academic needs at the time and the schools were not on board with allowing parents to pay to bring in extra support needed to "make it work". I'm glad his mom and these schools are all looking out for his best interests. It's been many years since this happened, so none of this says anything about his current needs.

Too down market. Image is everything.

Those days are long past. If he can use this opportunity for himself, he will. It will be a school in FL or wherever Melanie wants to live

That's what I'm saying. Put your money with your mouth is. Why not UofFL? Not good enough? Only the elite schools in coastal blue states are good enough from Trump kids?

Kid will only go someplace that can be called elite. UF could be it. But most of the others on here will not be it.

Agree with many others that he can choose where to go. But I would also think/hope Melania continued her successful road in lining him up with schools that match his needs vs being attending college purely as a prestige hound.

Trump didn't have the academic chops for Wharton; GWB didn't have the academic chops for Yale.

It's called money and being the "fortunate son".

Please. Academic chops for Yale? You confuse the world we live in now for the world that was as recent as the 1980s. GWB was well qualified for Yale at the time he went. It was not quite as elite in admissions as you seem to think. Especially for a legacy who went to the right prep school. No call was needed. That was the world then. Why are you making comments about BT's smarts? You have his test scores and grades? You have no idea.

Likely not an Ivy because they are all left wing hell holes at the moment.

Trump and all his kids are either Penn or Georgetown grads. Duke doesn’t make sense.

He’s not like Trump’s other kids. It’s disgusting how they hide him and lie about him like they are embarrassed.

Umm maybe it's because he is still a kid. And kudos to his mother for protecting him.

He’s moving into adulthood. He’s close with his mother but Donald is a POS. He sees no value in Barron so he ignores him. Ivanka is pulled together, articulate, smart, good looking , everything Donald Sr wishes he was so he adores her to the point of crossing the line at times.

UF would be considered elite to the MAGA crowd. Not so much for the liberal elites up north. That’s all Trump cares about.

In NYC he went to Columbia Prep which is not considered to be top tier in NYC and well below Buckley and Trinity where his brothers went.

My son is 2024 and has met some of classmates.
They all have great things to say about him, but he's somewhat quiet. (Only 1 person's account).

He played soccer at Arlington and was a nice kid.

This is true, he was quiet and well-liked, even among those who can't stand his father.

He'll go somewhere where Melania can live close by - NYU or Pepperdine make sense.

Pepperdine is too down market. No to NYU -- too NY.

Pepperdine is also deeply Christian. Crowd prayers out on the campus, etc etc. Yikes.

There is nothing more refreshing than casual hatred of Christians.

Let me guess, you consider yourself “progressive” and “open minded?”

They’re not hated for their religion. They’re hated for how they treat other people. But they enjoy feeling like victims of oppression instead of acknowledging that they’re cruel.

Florida is not elite except to a few parents of Florida students on this board.

We obviously don’t know them so this is pure conjecture. But he seems to love his son very much, but Melania is extremely protective (rightfully so), and does not allow Trump to put their son in the public eye, talk about him to reporters etc. And for once he keeps his mouth zipped.

Barron's been on a very short leash his whole life, which is appropriate. I think Melania has been a good, possibly overprotective mom.

Trump is probably waiting to see how "loyal" Barron will be once he's out in the world.

Some pretty bizarre and disgusting comments on this thread. None of you know this young man, maybe you should obsess less about Barron and do more for your kids. The moderator should shut this thread down.
