If you ignore its illegal occupation and the fact that it was built on ethnically cleansing Palestinians

Um, it was built on being successful in a post-independence war in which all of its neighbors attacked it.

Sorry for those on the losing side, but when you buy the ticket, you take the ride

Sure. Whatever helps you sleep at night

That’s how he feel about your lithium.

Bourdain's episode of Parts Unknown where he went to Iran was (not surprisingly) excellent. It's on HBO Max- season 4 episode 6. I have friends with family in Iran and they all said it was a great depiction of life there.

Jasper in the Canadian Rockies!

It’s like Banff but without the crowds of people and more wildlife 😀

French food. 45 minutes from a major airport. 90 minutes from the heart of the French Alps. And yet I have met very few Americans or even Brits who have ever heard of it.

It’s lovely, but it’s pretty famous! Definitely recommend though

Weird. I found Annecy to be quite touristy/Anglo. I was staying with french friends in a nearby town.
