Sinema told Politico that she will not caucus with Republicans. “Nothing will change about my values or my behavior,” she said. |
The assertion above os that she “is still caucusing with Democrats.” Anyone out there able to answer my question about support for this claim. Not caucusing with Republicans does not mean that she os caucusing with Democrats. TIA. |
It's the same effect. If the votes for the new Senate's organization are 50 to 49 to 1, the 50 wins. She's said she expects to keep her committee assignments and Schumer has said she will keep her committee assignments. If she screws over the democrats, then she's going to have to hope that the republicans give her one of their seats because the democrats sure wont |
Depends on what that means. I think I read that she would not attend Democrats' weekly caucus meetings, which reportedly she didn't do much anyways. I think she is still voting with them on all procedural issues. Bernie Sanders and Angus King are reported as caucusing with Democrats. Do they attend these meetings? They certainly get Democrats' seats on committees. |
She cleared with Schumer to keep her committee assignments. That’s caucusing with the Democrats. |
She is keeping her seat on committees led by the Democratic majority, per her spokesperson. She said she doesn’t plan to do anything differently at work, just that she will now do it as an independent and not a Democrat. |

This is so Democrats can’t get any nominees out of committee. Really slithery.
You are crazy. We vote party 99% of the time. |
|
What ideas does she have? She shares no ideas. No vision for Arizona, no policy, nothing. What does she stand for? |
|
+1 The only people with integrity are independents. Everyone else just goes along with whatever the party says. |
-100 When you’ve had enough, you’ve had enough and should be able to adjust accordingly. Would she fit in with the Forward party Yang has helped start? |
Umm...why? |
She stands for avoiding a primary challenge |
