Worst movie you ever saw?

Night Train to Venice

Nobody ever is familiar with it. The reviews here are satisfying to read: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0107683/reviews

Hugh Grant and Malcolm Macdowell. Impenetrable surreal plot about neo-Nazis, Carnival, transvestites, bizarre dogs, small children, and weird breast-nibbling. Like, WTF. It is SO BAD.

I hate this movie too. And that voice.

You, my former roommate, and I are likely the only 3 people who have ever seen this godawful nonsense.

OMG, I love Howard the Duck!!!

I also couldn't tolerate Love, Actually.

The Princess Bride is GREAT!

Another one for Sideways. omg the worst. Nearly fell asleep from boredom.

Another one to add--Cold Mountain. I think we would have walked out except I remember seeing it during the dead of winter and it was nice and warm in the theater, so we just stuck with it.

It was so terrible, basically a rich man who made a movie about how his poor indigenous nanny loved him sooooooo much that g--d made her have a stillbirth, so that she could keep sacrificing herself for her employer's family 4ever (to include literally risking her life to rescue her charges from drowning at the end even though she can't swim.)

So disgusting and tone-deaf about race and social class, and yet it got so many accolades. BARF.

I hated this movie too.

Freaking TERRIBLE and so beyond weird.

See, I’ve seen Battlefield Earth (The John Travolta Scientology movie) and Glitter starring Mariah Carey. Those are actually the worst movies I’ve ever seen. They were not even competent movies.

Almost need two threads: Worst Movies Ever (e.g., Glitter, Battlefield Earth) and Worst Movies Expected to be Good based on Reviews/Feedback (e.g., Forrest Gump, Love, Actually)

Any of the Lord of the Rings movies!

+1 for Crash. Hated that movie. Its Best Picture win is one of the Academy's biggest all-time Oscar mistakes.

Titanic.

I don't watch a lot of movies, but for some reason I watched 300 with my husband. So cheesy.
