That is a bad article that was not fact checked and took the word of a few nut jobs. The ped is speculating and has no evidence of harm. Let’s talk about all the violence in mcps. Today has new offerings.

It's literally a quote from a pediatrician who has treated these children. What do you mean it's not fact checked? It's a direct quote. Are you saying the author made it up? Stop trying to grasp at straws here. You're going to need better arguments if you want the program to survive.

The pediatrician is making a bias statement. She says she’s concerned. She has not seen any actual harm.

The numbers are not accurate.

And maybe compare it to other programs in MD that are trying to do what they can to serve their students and families b/c MSDE can't be bothered to approve any programs for its residents.

They should be looking at every school and program, not just the MVA and when budget is an issue cut out the extra's. The MVA is not an extra. The MVA and the extended school year are not huge amounts in the overall budget so it makes no sense except these are the most controversial programs to get the attention off the BOE problems. If anything, lets get rid of the BOE and start fresh.

A couple pages back, one of the excuses for the precipitous decline in MVA enrollment was “COVID stabilization”. So which is it? You can’t say that the program isn’t pandemic schooling but blame the fact that more than half of students have left the program on the pandemic stabilizing.
