Which ES has a good principal?

Definitely NOT Cashell. Lazy and just gives in to the parents (could care less about the teachers).

Yet another Stacy!

How specifically is she great? We’ve found her to be horrible in her interactions with many students (not just ours) and worst of all, dishonest.

Can second this!

So DCUM: dig up an old thread to air grievances!

Yes! I worked with Patrick Scott at another school, and he was great with both teachers and parents. His enthusiasm and compassion are not an act, it's legitimately how he is.

+2 he is great

We moved away to another elementary school from Strawberry Knoll, and oh boy, did we miss Patrick Scott!

Or to update fellow parents on the current situation at the school. Not sure why you would oppose. 🤔

The privilege here can be staggering.

There are six schools which share the initials "CES"

Clarksburg ES.

Yes, another vote for Mr. Bencal. Clarksburg does not play when it come to bullying. Genuinely a nice person and interacts well with the kids. Always will wave to you and acknowledge you.

Not the OP but I suggest you start a different thread for that. This thread is about praising/acknowledging good principals.

Yes, and I am expressing an alternative point of view regarding the current BMES principal, who one person in this thread labeled as good and seconding another person’s warning that she is not good. Parents potentially going to this school might find that useful if they search this particular thread. Thanks.

Really? I thought it was about taking down other schools and spreading misinformation

I don't understand the criticism of principal Stacy Smith at Bells Mill. FWIW, I think she's been excellent. She has maintained the school's many great traditions post-Covid, the school's kids continue to have generally very high test scores, and she has worked hard to improve scores for populations that have not tested highly. She is visible, communicates well, and clearly cares about the students. I am curious what she's done that people so dislike they're taking the time to criticize her on this board.

Curious — What makes you attribute these things directly to a school’s principal and where can one view this data during her tenure vs tenure of her predecessors?
