do cupcakes keep?

| if i have a party at 2pm, can i have the cupcakes delivered the day before or will they get stale? not sure how i would store 2 dozen cupcakes... |

| If they have buttercream or cream cheese frosting (probably), I'd refrigerate them until an hour or two beforehand. The cake part will not taste quite as good the next day but they will be fine for a party. |

I'd probably refrigerate them until an hour or so beforehand, just like an OP said. Or, ask the bakery. |
