Do you believe in palm reading?

Had my palm read at a party. It was a strange experience and I can't say I'm a believer. Wonder what others think. One of my girlfriends goes regularly, and gets tarot cards read, too.

No, I don't believe...but they are fun and a little scary too. I have several friends who go frequently or have a girl's day out going shopping and palm reading.

No, I've seen a palm reader's studio with an "Out of Business" sign on the front. Shouldn't she have seen that coming?

I dabbled in palm reading. I prefer my tarot cards.

I didn't until I was watching real housewives of Atlanta, and Kim had her palm read. THe woman asked if she had 3 kids? Kim said no she had 2, and was single. The woman told her you are going to have a boy. A year and a half later Kim is pregnant.

Ugh, yes and no. I had my palm read in high school and the woman said a couple of things that turned out to be true (but were not that hard to predict, like my then boyfriend at 17 probably wasn't going to be the one I ended up with. Duh.). She said I would have three kids and it freaked me out because at that point I didn't know if I wanted ANY kids.

Flash forward many, many years and we had a child, and then got pregnant with another. I was TERRIFIED it would be twins because of that damn palm reader (which would be difficult for a number of reasons, one I didn't want a high risk pregnancy, and two we would seriously have to consider me giving up my career since daycare costs for two infants plus a preschooler would be tough). Anyway, it is not twins but it really freaked me out. (Also, one of the pediatricians at our practice told me he thought I'd have three so it was weighing on me).

I believe for palm reading to be true, life has to be fated out and preplanned. While I do some things are probably fate, I think some things change so not everything is fate.

Why do it frequently? Do their hands change? Do they get new hands?

If you can't guess by this, no, I'm not a believer. I do believe in haruspicy, though. Animal guts never lie.
