Is this for PreS or PreK?
If it is for PreS, I would call and ask the following question: It is my understanding that the charter school board approved expansion of the Columbia Heights Location by 60 students, were those spaces allocated off of the waitlist or were they admitted during the initial drawing of the lottery? If off of the waitlist, your "real" # is in the 20s. Given that there will be ~120 3 YOs, I would say that your chances are fantastic! |
PP, thanks so much for this suggestion. We are hoping for PS, so knowing the answer to this question would make a huge difference. I called the school, but was told that there has not yet been any movement on the WL. The person on the phone suggested I email the principal to ask about the sixty additional slots. |
| I think it will move a lot in the summer. They are having a couple open houses for admitted students in May. I know that a friend of mine and I are currently sitting on spots waiting for the open house, but that we will probably end up giving them up due to logistics. I am sure we are not the only ones. |

do you have her email address?
If not it is 1st initial, last name at appletreeinstitute.org |
| We were #84 on the waitlist for Appletree CH and were just offered a spot. We'll probably turn it down for Bridges though. |

OP here-
We were #89 on the PS3 waitlist and got a call that we have a spot yesterday!! I am filling out the paperwork as we speak. Once submitted, I will turn down the spot we had at AppleTree Lincoln Park. |
