A fun lunch place in Bethesda for a girl's afternoon out.

My best friend does not want a formal baby shower but she is okay with a girls' lunch outing (maybe 7-10 of us). Can you suggest some fun lunch places in the Bethesda area that you think might fit a bill for such occasion?

Jaleo - tapas, outside, and sangria for the non-expectant!

Pain quotidien - big common table - great food, delicious bread and really nice lemonade - perfect for ms. preggers

Redwood: outdoor seating, lots of beautiful flowers in their outdoor seating area, tons of kids wandering by, more expensive menu than above

Tap Room: indoors, nice environment, but so-so food. prices range

jaleo: spanish tapas, good food, nice restaurant (less fancy, in my opinion than redwood, but same as tap room), but can be quiet in afternoons (i think dinner is their main thing) but they have a few cool circular tables in their restaurant with big curtain around them to create a private room feel

vapiano: so, its sort of serve service, but the private room is really nice with a big white gauzy curtain and the food is yummy. maybe you can order in advance so that it doesn't feel like you've arrived in a cafeteria? i laos really like the main dining room - nice decor, high tables, lots of plants

I know you asked for Bethesda, but I think that Black Market Bistro in Garrett Park would be great for a fun, in-lieu-of-baby-shower luncheon.
In Bethesda - Mon Ami Gabi, Jaleo, or Praline which is in the Sangamore shopping center.

Agree with Mon Ami Gabi. Always good food and they have nice big tables for groups.
