I am interested in "home schooling" my child, who is almost 3. I have been trying to find a curriculum or some guidance to do so. Does anyone have suggestions?

You mean something for right now? |
Curriculum for a 3 year old: blowing bubbles, making mud pies, finger painting, helping to make dinner, hugs, going on walks.
Don't sap your kid's motivation to learn by imposing a "curriculum" on him. Instead, when he asks 100 questions throughout the day, try to be there and to answer the questions. |
Maybe, some puzzles, drawing/scribbling to get used to grip, tying rope, counting steps as you go up and down, counting ten more pieces of broccoli.
Most of all, it's the outings. A ride on the metro, feed the ducks, zoo, farms, waterfront, look at boats, trains, trip to fire station. Baking cookies. Somersaults, jumping jacks. All these events, and the humdrum at home have loads of teachable moments. "Why, because" phase is important now, for understanding reason and consequences. |
