I enjoyed a night out at La Tasca, a tapas restaurant in Rockville Townsquare.
How many girls are we talking about? If it is few enough that reservations are not necessary, I say head to Rockville town Square and go wherever the wind blows. If you want to feel a little swank, try the sushi or thai place. If you want to be casual, go for Gordon Biersch. La Tasca is also an excellent option. Have they opened the rooftop at Town Square yet? That could be nice in good weather.
Somewhere other than Rockville
Where do you suggest? We're talking about two moms who need a break and a drink. |
Ignore the anti-Rockville poster. There are tons of decent places that have nice bars and would be great for a drink with a friend. Several places mentioned in the townsquare already, or further down the Pike there's the new Matchbox that has a nice bar area or Clyde's Tower Oaks is always good. I bet the new Seasons 2 has a bar too. If you're up for a more interesting experience , Hank Dietle's

Melting Pot.
Melting Pot and La Tasca both look great.
Matchbox is really yummy and has both indoor and outdoor seating.
Venture down the pike a little and go to Seasons 52 - awesome bar with a singer at a piano. very few kids (and none in the bar).
