DC is Level IV eligible, and Wolftrap is our base school. It offers Local Level IV (which I've been reading up on), but we also have the option of sending him to Louise Archer. I found one older doc on the web that shows how many Level IV-eligible Wolftrap kids stayed and how many left for Louise Archer (http://www.boarddocs.com/vsba/fairfax/Board.nsf/legacy-content/86789J2271B7/$FILE/AttachmentA.pdf), but that was 2008-2009. (I was pleasantly surprised by the high number of Wolftrap kids who stayed.)
I have so many questions, but would appreciate ANY impressions on Wolftrap's Level IV offerings versus Louise Archer. The schools' websites are not helpful on LLIV issues; I can't even figure out who the teachers are for third through sixth for LLIV in either school. Thanks in advance. |

My dd is in aap at Louise archer, and it was our base school. We are very happy...this year there are 4 aap 3rd grade classes at louise archer. We are very happy with our teacher. We know three or four girls from wolf trap that came to Louise archer this year.
From what I can tell, both are excellent schools. La will have more aap kids, and is probably more diverse. |
