Please save me here.
I need to get fitted for a bra. All I had from my home country are falling apart after several years and what I bought from the rack at the stores are killing my back! I get rashes and cuts on my shoulders from the straps digging into my skin. If you have big boobs and you spend $60 on a bra do they hurt your shoulders? When I try them on at the store they seem fine but when I wear them for long periods of times it kills me! Even the tick straps! Do you know what I mean?

| Go to Nordstroms and have someone fit you for a proper bra. |
| Yes, or go to Title Nine and take a look at what they have (supportive, all day bras) as well as Macys. DO NOT go to victoria's secret, they are not meant for big boobs. |

I used to have that problem, but I don't in Wacoal bras (I am 34DD). Other people have recommended Mystere or Felicia - those haven't worked for me but they are also designed for a large bust, so perhaps you'd have better luck with them. Nordstrom usually carries a decent selection of all three. I usually can't find more than one per style in my size, but that's enough to see if I like it, and then I can buy others online.
Another PP recommended Title 9 Sports (online) - I use them for sports bras, although they recently discontinued the one I used (Frog bra) and I am very sad. I haven't tried their everyday bras. |
| Another vote for Title nine. They are fantastic and have very supportive bras that are great for every day use or for exercise too. |
| Wacoal, for sure. I'm a 38 DDD. |
| Spanx. They're so comfortable. |
| Another vote for Wacoal, I'm 38 or 40 DDD. |
| Nordstrom Rack for Wacoal bras. They cost 50% less, but the selection is thin. |

42DDD here.
Have a Wacoal... it's okay, but doesnt seem to support as well as it should/as I'd like. Everytime I go to one of the fancy fitting places (Sylene's, Trousseau), they always want to put me in frilly, lacy things - I just want a bra that is comfortable, that is supportive, and that doesn't leave strap marks (similar to the OP's pic above). |
| If that picture is you, it looks like you are much bigger than a DDD. Go to Norstrom and get fitted. They have all of the large cup sizes (G, H) in the back. If the straps are digging into your shoulders then it sounds like your band size is too small and the straps are holding you up. The band should hold your breasts up. |
| There's a store called the Full Cup in Old Town Alexandria that specializes in larger sizes. |
| I used to go to the Full Cup in Alexandria but had some customer service issues. I now go to Trousseau's in Vienna. I'm a 36H (huge, I know) and while they have a lot of fancy lacy bras, the Fantasie line is plain and fits me the best. They also alter bras at no cost. I often have to have the straps in set a bit more so they don't cut into my underarms but the Fantasie fits me perfectly. The PP is correct that Victoria's Secret is just not for busty women. |

I'm another fan of Trousseau. Just let whoever is working with you know whether you prefer lace/frills or plain type bras and they can find something that works for you. They can also special order more of a particular style in other colors if you find one you like.
Since so many people seem to be fans of Title 9, I need to check them out! I've purchased clothes from them, but never bras. |
| I have found Trousseau bra lines much cheaper on line. It took me a while to realize this. I thought because it was on Oprah (years ago) it was some sort of deal. Nope. Just saying. |
