Who covers for Dr. Tchabo?

Anonymous
I am shopping for an OB, and I like what I've read about Dr. Tchabo. My only concern is that, because he is a solo practitioner, he might not be able to be there during my delivery. Do you know who covers for him? I called the office, explaining why I wanted to know, but they would not tell me since I am not their patient yet....

I go to Women's Health Corp in McLean, the Armstrong/Bannon group, and they listed Dr. Tchabo as one of the Dr's in their call rotation. So maybe they cover for him also.

Armstrong and Bannon cover for him. The reality is that he's getting older and I think trying to scale back on the long days/late nights. If you have a pregnancy/delivery that needs his expert, open-minded care (twins, breech, VBAC, etc.), I think that the long office waits and call rotation would be worth it. But if you have a normal, healthy pregnancy with no "special features," I might suggest broadening your search. Just from a time/hassle perspective.

The Bannon/Armstrong group is excellent as an alternative~ I have delivered one with them and am about to deliver #2.
