Expecting Moms in Alexandria, VA???

My husband and I live in Alexandria, VA. We moved to the area in August 2010, and I recently found out I'm pregnant-- Due in December. We don't have any family in the area. I'm wondering if there are any other expecting Moms out there that would interested in getting together, and possibly putting together an expecting Moms group in our area. Post a response if you are interested in meeting other expecting Moms in the area- and we'll get something put together.

Welcome to Alexandria! If you haven't already discovered it, there is a yahoo group called "oldtownmoms" that has moms and expecting moms from across Alexandria, which may be a good place to find folks if this doesn't work out for you. Good luck with your pregnancy! Kate |

| You could also try one of the prenatal yoga classes -- I think Pure Prana (King & Patrick St) is the one most people seem to use, although I'm sure there's others. The classes can be crowded, but they always have time at the end for the moms to sit & have tea, snacks, chat, etc. |

You can also join the moms club in your area. Search the website:
http://www.momsclub.org/ You can join even before you have your child if you wanted...but def. once you give birth. You'll be able to find activities for you and your child and playgroups and all kinds of good stuff...as long as your local chapter is active. |

| a great prenatal yoga place is mind the mat in del ray. i am due in august and ended up getting to be friends with women that way too. my doc also recommends PACE for new moms. |
