ECNL forcing Brave & Union Partnership

It may be crappy, but that doesn't mean it wasn't (a) true and (b) necessary (to protect the MYS/Union girls' brand).

So , he is saying that the boys teams have not performed poorly? Or that their performance is not the trigger? I don't understand what the "disinformation" is.

May not be disinfo, but it was crappy of club leadership to call out the boys' performance as the reason for all this.

Agree. It shows that MYS is prioritizing other things above the current McLean families. I am 100 percent on board with this observation and, if his email had said, "we are a community and our club should represent our community, win or lose" then I'd respect it AND get on board (even though no other club I know behaves that way). But in this day and age, to call out "disinformation" without substantiating it and to spam McLean families with the subject line "Why is the MYS Board and Staff Willingly Destroying the MYS Boys Program?" ... sorry. Big turnoff.

And it may be true, but adults running a business ostensibly for the benefit of kids could have found a better way to communicate the change. There's no excuse (and no, I don't even have a dog in this fight).

I read the Feb 23rd email and where does it mention the poor performance of the boys???

PP here. A criticism may be implied in this statement:

This new partnership will increase the competitiveness of the teams, ensuring that we can maintain and improve our competitive standing at both the regional and national levels.

But who can argue with that?

I still haven't seen the "crappy communication" or the negativity or, especially, the disinformation.

Read the Feb. 27 email, not Feb. 23.

Oh, ok. Haven't seen it. Fair enough.

Was this an email in response to a request for more info?

from 2/27

"Earlier this month, we were informed by the ECNL league that our National Program membership for the Virginia Union was in jeopardy due to poor performance, particularly on the boys side."

and

"ECNL feels that Fairfax County is an over-saturated market and given our performance in recent years, our boys program was one of the organizations under consideration for expulsion from the league.

But wasn’t it the ECNL administration that called out MYS’s poor performance in Boys ECNL and the ECNL-RL program?
Was the expectation that the club leadership not share this and make up another more palatable reason?!

So MYS is being transparent about communication with ECNL, in a message intended for ECNL and ECNL-R--in other words, the facts and are already known here--and parent response is to call this "crappy" and "disinformation"? Come on.
