DC to Herndon if I leave at 7--how long does it take?

Hi all,
Hoping you can answer this for me. I may need to go out to Herndon tomorrow after work. Location is near the interstate. How long approximately will it take me to drive from DC if I leave at 7 or 7:30 PM? I am wondering if there is any way to beat the traffic, too.

DC to Herndon - are you going GW to 495 to 267 (Toll rd) and exiting at one of the Herndon exits?

I'd say depending on traffic (which is lighter at 7-7:30 but still can be brutal thru the toll rd) to plan on at least an hour.

You could to GW to 95 to 193 and take the left at the light after Great Falls, and go across Rt 7 (this turns into Baron Cameron) - you can follow this all the way into Herndon too, but it may be stop and go (and therefore slower).

I meant 495, not 95.

depending on where you are you can go through 66 instead of GW or 495
