loveliest thing about being pregnant?

Anonymous
okay kids. . .I am hitting that "tired of being pregnant" wall. for those who have the inclination or time, let's share answers to the following:

"What is the coolest/most surprising/loveliest thing about being pregnant?"

Thanks in advance for some good thoughts and energy.

I love that my husband spontaneously touches my belly, and even he is surprised sometimes when he finds himself doing it.

The feeling of having a special "secret" when you are first pregnant and have not yet announced it.

The baby moving inside me.

The "glow" on my skin...

The connection I feel with my husband.

That special look you get from strangers who are happy and excited for you....

The actual birth process - I did not go natural but still had a wonderful experience which I will always remember.

Ever since my feet swelled up this week and I had to buy new shoes, I've been having that tired of being pregnant feeling too. But, the coolest thing is every night before I go to bed the baby starts moving a lot. My stomach looks like it has waves going across it, or sometimes one of her legs is just thumping up and down. My husband can see it really easily, so it's cool to share that moment right after we lay down for bed.

I loved knowing that even when I was just lying on the couch I was doing something important!

Knowing that you are responsible and taking care of this little wonder so that it will be ready to be born ...

Oh yeah ... and getting to eat as much as you can without an excuse

Not feeling guilty about eating - hell...I'm gonna gain weight anyways!

Increased sex drive.

Organizing and planning for the new one.

All the attention. Plus, everyone is so kind to a pregnant lady, at least I've experienced.

Feeling like the baby and I are a team.

I love feeling that the little one is around. Hubby was traveling this week so I kept telling him what 'me and the baby' are doing.

Connecting with strangers. I loved the warm looks and little spontanous conversations with people. I especially loved how mothers (and a few dads!) got that nostalgic look in their eyes seeing me.

Love this posting! You will look back with such nostalgia at this time.

Taking a nap without a baby crying to wake you up (it's not that bad!)
PAssing the exit for the hospital and getting that excitement that one day soon you will go there for the big day!
Tons of attention from everyone-getting fun baby gift, dreaming of what it will be like--I love the one where someone wrote just lying down you were doing something important-so true!! Not having to suck in your tummy!
I liked posting on this board and asking all the moms advice I posted something on here 10 minutes or less before we left for the hospital to have the baby-it gets addictive!!

I love sitting in a boring work meeting, surrounded by people, and feeling my baby moving around inside of me. She and I are the only ones that know what is going on between the two of us, and I realize how more important that is than the meeting.
