SPA WORLD in Centerville

Have you been there?

Walk through it. A friend invited me to go there but she didn't have time to talk about it in detail. Would you walk me through it?

Yes, we love it! When you get there, you choose if you want to either do just the poultice rooms or the rooms plus the baths. You pay and they give you a uniform to change into later, a ticket, and a locker key. You take off your shoes and store them in the front area in the locker that corresponds to the number on the ticket. You then walk down the hall and go to the left locker room if you're a woman. Inside, you'll find a huge bank of lockers that again corresponds to the ticket number and your key. If you're doing the pools, get naked and go to the pool room. Shower thoroughly (they provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner but you're more than welcome to bring your own- I do) and choose which pools. They have a large one (the Bade pool) that has various water jet stations that massage different parts of your body, like your upper back, shoulder/neck, legs, etc. Or you can choose one of the smaller hotter pools to soak in or the very cold one. They also have dry and wet saunas. You can get a Korean massage too (pay with the women in the locker room). Obviously the pool/locker room is women-only.

When you do the poultice rooms, make sure you dry off very well before you step into the locker room or the ladies will yell at you. Get the uniform previously given to you and go to the exit for the poultice rooms (not the exit to go back to reception). There's a huge common room where people get mats and sit on the floor. People sleep, watch tv, use their computers...and then they have a number of dry poultice rooms that supposedly have different effects on you. They also have a cafe and restaurant.

Upstairs, it again splits into sex-segregated areas. On the women's side, there's massage rooms and a sleeping room. I don't know if there are also massage rooms on the men's side. They have a gym and a haircut place, but I think when I was there last, the salon was closed.

Anyway, don't let the nudity intimidate you. No one thinks anything of it and there are all sorts of body shapes and ages there. It's very relaxing...enjoy!

I did and I'd love to have someone telling me about. If you can't help please go spend some quality time with your loved ones.

What are you planning on doing there that would be offensive? Of course it's friendly. GLT are still people too. Sexual activity on the other hand is likely not permissible on the premises.
