Infant daycare options--Bethesda, Kensington, Potomac, Silver Spring

Based on home and work, any of the above would location options for daycare. Any suggestions on centers or in-home daycares in these areas? I've called around to the centers in Bethesda and the waiting lists may just be too long for what we need (starting in Sept or Oct of 2008).

Children in the Shoe in Bethesda (2 locations) tends to tell people that their waiting list are long but everyone I know (myself included) got off it much sooner than expected. Just keep following up with them and you should be able to get a spot by Sept or Oct. Also, that is a very good time of year to need to start as there tends to be lots of turnover around that time so a lot of spots open up.

I am looking for a home daycare or a shared nanny for my 4 months old daughter to start February 2008 or earlier (last week of January). Would anyone have some info to share?
Portuguese or French languages would be great and preferable but not essencial.
