Trader Joes coffee

Are they any good? Any specific varieties worth a try? I have a vague recollection of trying something from there (can't remember what) years ago and not loving it but I find myself tempted again every time I go there.

I'm a foodie and a coffee fanatic so I give TJ's coffee a pass unless I am totally out of coffee and happen to be there. They are not much cheaper, if at all, than bulk coffee from the health food store, which is thousands of times better IMO.

I avoid most of their coffee, but do like the French Roast that comes in a blue can. I buy the whole beans and grind it.

I agree! The Trader Joe's coffee is actually pretty good and the French roast is especially good, as is the Italian roast. Grind it yourself and put in a French press and it's great.

And to the pp who referred to themselves as a "foodie", F*!# you, you pretentious asshole.

Coffee from a health food store? Really? Some foodie you are.

Once again, theTrader joe's fanatics are a rough crowd. If you think buying coffee at the healthfood store is pretentious, then save your money and buy it in a can from Giant. Much cheaper, especially for those who don't care how it tastes.

Love how you are "agreeing" that "Trader's Joe's coffee is actually pretty good" when the PP you quoted said they avoid most of their coffee. Nice spin.

Another vote for the french roast. Grind it there. It's inexpensive enough that if you get a small can you can try it without much of an investment!

TJ's coffees are okay. I buy the French Roast once in a while. Not my favorites though.

My personal favorite coffee is the GODIVA Breakfast Blend. I love the smell alone. I also like Gevalia coffees, but I hate having to subscribe to their offers. And I like the German Tchibo Blend, the Dallmayer Blend and the Jacobs Blend.
