Shady Grove donor sperm storage?

Anonymous
So Shady Grove says to have the frozen donor sperm arrive 5-7 days before you expect to inseminate but they charge a storage fee if the sperm is there more than 7 days. Is this accurate? How does this work in practice? We want to have the sperm there a little bit in advance to avoid stress, but don't want to pay a storage fee. We'll be doing natural IUIs timed around OPK results, and when my partner has been ovulating has varied a little from cycle to cycle, so we don't know exactly when we would need to inseminate. Thanks.

don't worry, they won't charge you unless you really push their limits and take advantage of them. that's my experience. a bit over 5-7 days is fine. just not 20-30 days.

They won't hold you to 7 days.

Basically, they will hold the 1-2 vials for your current cycle until you complete it. Anything for upcoming cycles or held over unused from the current one will be subject to the storage fee.
