What is the best place (not too crazy expensive) to get a prepared Passover meal?
TIA |
|
WF and Balduccis have them - I love Balduccis but it is not inexpensive ...
If you are just having close family/friends for a Seder (so not a huge group), you can buy say matzoh ball soup (or a lighter soup) and the main dish like a roasted chicken, and make the sides yourself as a less expensive and pretty simple option. Steam asparagus and roast potatoes and honestly that is enough served with a main dish like chicken, salmon or brisket. You could also buy a dessert or just have fruit salad and purchased macaroons and jelly rings The Seder plate you could prep the night before. I am used to big Passover Seders, but after I priced the whole meal at Balduccis, I did this last year for the second Seder and it was easy and not expensive - I came home from work a bit early and pulled it together.

Shaloms Kosher Market or Shaul's in Silver Spring/Wheaton or Koshermart in Rockville have a lot of options at all price points.
The food is really good and its certified kosher for Passover - if thats a plus for you. |
| The new ny-style Jewish deli on Norfolk Ave in Bethesda - they have a nice Passover take-away menu. |
| WF on River Rd., Balducci's, Wegmans has some nice choices too. Don't know if you are in MD, VA or DC so can't narrow it down more. Agreed re: Koshermart, won't be the tastiest maybe but that's Passover food for ya. |
| River Falls Seafood in Potomac Village does a great job. About the same price at Balduccis- but tastes better. |
| I am not OP, but ... River Falls Seafood has a passover menu? That's great to know - thanks!! Btw, the Jewish deli on Norfolk is Uptown Deli. |
