Food, Cooking, and Restaurants
| I have made a lot of baby food veggies and fruit for my 7 mo DC. We plan on starting meats in the near future, but I am not sure what the best ways are to make them. For those of you who made homemade baby food meats, did you use ground chicken/turkey/beef or take a whole chicken, etc.? I guess I am just not sure what is the best way to proceed with this. Thanks! |

I cooked pieces of chicken or beef in a stew until they were very tender - along with ingredients already introduced. I've also heard that you can poach the meat and then purée it in a blender, but that didn't sound very appetizing.

| Early on I browned ground lamb in onion & garlic, drain the fat, add a jar of tomato sauce and reheat. Then put it into the food processor. Cook your choice of pasta, put some olive oil over the the cooked and drained pasta, cover with your sauce. |

i made a chicken, carrot and rice porridge where i boiled chicken thigh, carrots, and long grain rice in a pot for an hour. i then mashed up the carrots and pulled apart the chicken and mixed it all up.
later, maybe around 10 months, i made ground turkey patties. |
