I'm guessing it's preventative in terms of preventing whatever he's got from getting worse.

It does look exactly like neck shingles. |
Yes. Not sure when it became a “thing,” but probably too late for the boomer generation. Don’t think any of my parent have had the vaccine. (I’ve got a ton of dementia on one side of my family, so been hoping hard that the shingles vaccine will be the one small trick that makes the difference for my generation and beyond!) |
I had to work while having shingles, so should Trump. I hope it’s painful for him! |
PPP. Never seen shingles. But on the side closer to his ear it looks like a gash that has been make upped over. Not going to fall on my sword on this though. Maybe it’s shingles? But they would surely share that as it’s not fatal. |
| But if shingles, why not admit it? And, not make up some dumb thing about preventative cream, which isn't a thing? Though I would love it if it were shingles because that would mean he's very stressed. Very, very stressed. |
I didn't know this was a thing... I guess I'll get my vaccine the next time I'm at CVS. |
There is a very effective antiviral that shortens the duration and severity. |
That sounds like a vaccine! |
valtrex. He might have some in the medicine cabinet for his herpes flairs. |
They do the topical just for keratoses (think head bent down golfing for years)... And that would qualify as preventative. Don't know, just minus that one scabbed area, the rash does not seem like it has vesicles like shingles. |
| Eczema? |
