New Midwives at GW

| Has anyone else heard that they've added 2 new midwives at GW? Does anyone know who they are or their background? I'm ecstatic that this will open up the option for more women. Just wondering if anyone has any more information on the topic. |

| I'm a patient of Whitney's and I've been told this by a few people at GW. Right now it's Whitney and Laura. 2 more are coming and while I forget their names, they are supposedly great and well known, been in the area for awhile. Takoma Park Women's Collective or something similar? |

| Is Erika still part of Whitney's practice? |

| My understanding is that the two midwives used to run the Takoma Park Center, which closed its doors a couple of years ago. Since the, the midwives have been practicing elsewhere in the area. I think they will begin doing deliveries in May. And I believe Erika is still part of the practice, although I don't think she does deliveries solo (she may assist or deliver with Whitney or Laura). If you want more details I would recommend attending the monthly "Meet the Midwives" info session. |
