Baby station

Anonymous
I am 38 weeks and last week at my internal exam, the doctor informed me that the baby had dropped and was at 0 station. The week before I was told that the baby was -3. Well, at today's exam I was told that I am -2. ????????????? Does this make any sense? Can the baby move back up? Of course, this also makes me wonder which doctor is correct. Thanks all!

I was told I was 100% effaced and then 50% effaced the next week.

Don't get too wrapped up with this information. Very little of it indicates when you are going into labor.

The piece of information I thought was important for me was that I was 4 cm's at my appt before going into labor. This helped the nurses when I went into the hospital know that I did not have the full 10cm to go - and that my labor might go quickly since I had already gone through the 1st phase of labor.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.
