Oval Room? Georgia Brown? Equinox?
I've only been to those places for lunch but all are good. Bombay Club is also great. Is this a business meeting?
Yes, an out of town client is staying at Hay Adams and I don't want to put him through logistics of cab or confusing walk! Would prefer a place where we could have a business conversation, with good lighting etc.
Ardour at St Regis?
Bombay Club is really good and I think relatively quiet, decently lit. GA Browns is loud and dark even during the day. Equinox would be OK but is more 'romantic.' Oval Room would be my #2. A slightly longer walk and you have DC Coast on K at 14th, which is also bright - noise varies depending on your table but if you asked for one along the wall you'd be fine. Also maybe Potenza on H just past 15th, fine during the day, haven't been there for dinner.
The food at the Oval Room is really good and it's quiet. A few blocks away but Galileo III is on 14th & F.
Oval Room would be my vote. Perfect location, very impressive.
I would say Equinox. Cozy and eco-conscious!
I would recommend Bombay Club (if he likes Indian), Oval Room, or Equinox. All good choices.
Agreed. |
