Philly style Rolls

From the Philadelphia area and having a party with guests from back home, where can I get really good rolls? To make Roast Beef or Meatball subs, Hoagies etc. THey will seriously laugh at some of the bread in the supermarkets around here

I know what you mean. I wish I knew. Nothing like it around here..not that I've found at least.

Try Rodman's near Tenleytown? They have a lot of ethnic foods. My mom buys her swedish/german food there. It's wall to wall herring in there. Are philly rolls an Italian American thing?

I'd look into having them shipped from Philly. There's got to be a bakery that provides this service. I don't think you're going to find anything that comes close around here. Signed, Philly native.

I think you can get them at Taylor Gourmet on H St NE:

I comletely agree with you. Is there a way one of your guests from home can bring rolls? My parents bring us a dozen rolls every time they visit and we use them lovingly

The bread definitely makes all the difference.
